Avi uses his innovative approach and decades-long experience to create the most complicated, flattering high fashion or street style hair and makeup looks for runway and editorial models, and his regular clients who want to look their natural best passion for makeup, fashion, and style was born with him. And he discovered that passion from within at a very early age. For that, Edri can thank his artistic family. Those genes drove Avi to start painting even before he could walk. Since he was 13, Avi Edri Wanted to become a part of the beauty industry. Nothing fascinated or attracted him more than the freedom to learn, improve, improvise and create.Avi’s first models were regular neighborhood women of all ages. Always inspired by the two most important women in his life: his grandmother, and mother, Avi’s greatest goal and happiness were to watch women smile and shine once he was done working on their hair and makeup. In 1996, Avi joined the Il Makiage Cosmetics company in New York City. As an international representative, Avi boosted the company’s sales and formed a huge fan base of women who wanted nothing more than to be styled by Mr. AE. At Il Makiage, Avi worked on photo shoots for magazines and catalogs, runway shows, and grand events. By collaborating with art directors, stylists, and ad photographers, Avi created the most memorable and magical looks. Image transformation was Avi’s royal flush. For many women, Avi was the king of color and cut, and the emperor of styling and makeup. With a license in teaching from New York State University and decades of experience, Avi never stops growing, learning, and perfecting his craft. Beauty is Avi’s life, and he is always open to new and innovative approaches to the art of hair and makeup styling. And with a personality that can breathe life into a wooden log, Avi forms instant bonds and friendships with his clients, partners, and co-workers.
